AMK Publications LLC is a private company held in the United States. This privacy policy explains how our company collects and uses your personal data when you interact with our website and services.
What we collect
Name, Address, Email address, and billing information if paying via credit card. If you purchase a book we also hold your order history, your account login, the download activity on your purchase, and a record of which video lessons you have viewed.
How do we collect your data?
You provide this data directly when you buy a book through our online store, create or log in to an account, renew your video access, or contact us through the form on our Contact page.
Some data is created automatically as you use the site: our store records your orders and downloads, our course software records which lessons you have opened, and our security software records the IP address of requests made to the site.
How will we use your data?
AMK Publications LLC collects the minimum information necessary to sell you a book, give you access to the video lessons that accompany it, and keep your account working.
Card payments are processed by Square. Your full card details are handled by Square and are not stored on our website.
Video lessons are delivered from Amazon Web Services (S3) using time-limited links, so a request for a video passes through Amazon’s servers.
Our course software (LearnDash) records your progress through the lessons so that your account shows what you have watched.
Our security software (Wordfence) records IP addresses and blocked requests in order to protect the site.
Except where noted above, AMK Publications LLC does not share customer information with third parties, and we do not sell customer data.
How do we store your data?
Account and order information is stored on our website’s server. Payment card information is not kept on file. Order history is retained for auditing purposes.
Two things specific to how our books work are worth stating plainly:
- The book is yours permanently, but the download link expires after 365 days. The file you have downloaded remains yours; the link we host is time-limited.
- Video access runs for one year and does not renew automatically. We will not charge you again unless you choose to renew.
Your account and its data remain after video access lapses, so that your purchase history stays available to you.
Data Protection Rights
In compliance with State, Federal, and International laws regarding customer privacy, every user is entitled to the following:
- The Right to Access – You have a right to request AMK Publications LLC for copies of your personal data. We may charge a small fee for this service.
- The Right to Rectification – You have the right to request that our company correct information that is incorrect or incomplete.
- The Right to Erasure – You have the right, under certain conditions, to erase your personal data.
- The Right to Restrict Processing – You have the right to request AMK Publications LLC restrict the processing of your personal data under certain circumstances.
- Right to data portability – You have the right to have the information we collect transferred to yourself or another institution, under certain circumstances.
